We have several exciting events coming up in the next few weeks – and you’re in the right place to find out all about them.

Pay and Progression in Women of Colour: Northern Roundtable

This event is being delivered in partnership with The Runnymede Trust and The Fawcett Society. It aims to bring together women who have experienced inequality, racism, sexism or other forms of discrimination and unfair treatment in the workplace. The roundtable discussion will take place on Zoom and will inform ongoing research, reports, surveys and recommendations put forward by The Runnymede Trust.

Women Leading the Way: Inclusion Week 2021

As part of Inclusion Week 2021, REN are hosting an in-person event. This event continues the theme of inequalities faced by women of colour, with a focus on inspirational women from Bradford District. A panel of speakers from various backgrounds, organisations and experiences will speak about their journeys to where they are today. We hope this will also be an opportunity to discuss topics such as intersectionality as well as inclusion. We will be joined by guest speaker Halima Begum of The Runnymede Trust. Refreshments will be provided.

Black History Month 2021: Bradford Launch

October is Black History Month, and this year the theme is #ProudToBe. REN is working closely with Black Health Forum to launch this month of celebration, awareness, information and resource sharing. We are planning a launch event with live music, community stalls, resources and information about events taking place across October.

National Hate Crime Awareness Week 2021: Bradford Hate Crime Strategy Launch

Every three years, Bradford renews its strategy for dealing with hate crime, encouraging hate crime reporting, and ensuring a zero tolerance of hate crime across the District. This year, REN are participating in the launch event which will see speakers, community stallholders and strategy developers coming together to discuss this topic.
